Sauce Proportions

KK Note: For the best cheese sauce, heat your milk (liquid) and add a bit of grated cheese (fat). Once the cheese has melted, keep adding the rest of the cheese while stirring. Then use the flour to thicken to your desired thickness.


thin medium thick
liquid 250mL 250mL 250mL
fat 15mL 30mL 50mL
flour 15mL 30mL 50mL
uses soups cheese sauce for veggies
note: equal parts fat and flour
Dill Sauce (or other herb sauces) – add 15 – 30mL herb
