I have never loved Fefe Dobson as an artist. I have tried to be open to her because she is Canadian. But I just can’t appreciate her work. But she has a new song out, and as much as I try to turn the station when it is on, or not like it, there are lyrics within it that makes me think of amm.

IF I DIE TONIGHT, AT LEAST I LEFT A LEGACY

And I thought about amm’s legacy and how would I define it? Is her legacy me and Anth? And Arrine and Madeleine and Elizabeth? Or is her legacy simply her? The lessons she taught us, the impact she had on her peers during her career, the friend and wife she was and the mother that she still is?

And then I questioned what my legacy would be. What would people say about me IF I DIE TONIGHT? And I thought of what a friend said to me on Sunday. We were talking about my purging and he said that what he has seen in me, is that if things are not as I want them to be in my life, I change them. Even if they are hard decisions, I take the initiative to make my life better. And he said he thinks I am that way because of amm…although he never met her, he has heard me speak about her a lot. So perhaps that would be my legacy? Showing how to find the strength to make the tough changes in your life to always better yourself. It’s not an easy path and by no means do I begin the journey with all the strength I need to be successful at it. These changes can take years for me…

So I’ll just keeping on Bouncing and working on the Legacy that I would be proud to have.

Legacy

Your face is all I ever see on this crowded street
Like no one’s watching you don’t care to act a fool with me
You made me dance in public trippin’ on my own two feet
Just like a drum my heart is jumping like a trampoline
No where to wash away my worries like the angry sea
Having a good old time never been on the edge of my seat

It’s raining lava got me sweating I can feel the heat
the fires ragging no telling what’s bout to come for me

If I die tonight at least I left a legacy
If I die tonight at least I left a legacy
If the lights go out I’m forever in your memory
If I die tonight at least I left a legacy

It’s true the eyes are the windows of a person’s soul
It’s like I’m staring in the mirror when I look at you
I turn the heavens down if the devil came for you
I’d rather go through hell or high waters
Yeah it’s true

If I die tonight at least I left a legacy
If I die tonight at least I left a legacy
If the lights go out I’m forever in your memory
If I die tonight at least I left a legacy

Your face is all I ever see on this crowded street
Like no one’s watching you don’t care to act a fool with me
You made me dance in public trippin’ on my own two feet
Just like a drum my heart is jumping like a trampoline.

If I die tonight at least I left a legacy
If I die tonight at least I left a legacy
If the lights go out I’m forever in your memory
If I die tonight at least I left a legacy [2x]

If I die tonight at least I left a legacy
