When I saw this title on the ‘amm and books’ link I was intrigued. So I borrowed it from the North Battleford Library this fall to read. I wasn’t too sure about the format of this book to start off with but soon became part of the community and all in all thoroughly enjoyed the book. Thanks so much Kirsten for listing it on the website.
Oh! I love this. Thanks so much for sharing. I can’t wait to read what others have to say about the book!

I am so happy to see this addition to amm’s website, Kirsten. I too, have just finished reading ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society’ and have passed it on to my sister, Diane. What a great idea this is: to pass on a book that your mother loved. I loved the book too. In particular the style, I have never read a book written in letter format, very interesting technique. I actually used the technique a little in my book with some of the email correspondence we received at the time of my brain tumour saga. I am also a sucker for romance and the ending was a delight. I see the comparison of Anne Marie to Elizabeth, because she died too young, she was an inspiration to people and was admired even by those who didn’t know her.
Have you read ‘The Shack’? It too is amazing. It’s the type of book you want to buy in order to read and reread it.
Thanks for the post, Claudette! And again, what a great idea to add to the website. Check out the amm & Books section for a write-up on The Shack. It too has another fantastic connection to amm!
